Sunlit Power, Lucas TVS Collaborate For Supply Of 50,000 EV Motors

Sunlit Power has announced that it has partnered with Lucas TVS and under the terms of the collaboration, it will supply 50,000 electric vehicle motors and controllers manufactured by the TVS Group firm to many industries. Sunlit Power is a storage battery manufacturer and distributor. The company manufactures the ARENQ brand of batteries.

As per the release, the supply collaboration will envisage motors of 1kw-15kw capacity meant for various applications. This would include uses in two-wheelers, high-speed passenger autos and pick-up vans, said Sunlit Power.

According to Sunlit Power, the partnership is for three-years. As per the agreement, the firm will help Lucas TVS in extending its sales and marketing of the product across India.

VG Anil, Head of Operations at Sunlit Power, said, “This collaboration is a step towards bolstering the EV powertrain industry in India. Our sales and service expertise, combined with Lucas TVS’s motor manufacturing expertise, will provide automakers with high-end support. Also, we are looking forward to bolstering the capabilities of our team through this association.”

Under the scheme of things, Lucas TVS is expected to train engineers of Sunlit Power in maintenance and troubleshooting with regards to the products. This will help offer immediate services to the customers. The exercise will also help Lucas TVS to establish motors and controller service centres across India.
