Global solar tracker maker PV Hardware (PVH), a Grandsolar Group firm, is mulling to build a new solar tracker factory in a Valencia industrial park in Spain that will help the firm to take its global capacity to 25 GW. PV Hardware said that the Spanish facility will occupy a space of 65,000 square meters of area as the firm has acquired six hectares of land.

Unification of solar tracker manufacturing

The key objective of PV Hardware is to bring the manufacturing in Spain under one rooftop. The company is presently making solar trackers in seven different locations in Valencia. It will expand its manufacturing with the construction of a tube factory involving an investment of EUR 20 million.

Emilio García, COO, PV Hardware, said, “By bringing all our activity together in the same logistics center, we will be able to increase our capacity and participate in more projects, as well as drive the development and improvement of our products, and at the same time offer better conditions and better service to our customers.”

PV Hardware is aiming at becoming the world’s top solar tracker maker with the current expansion of activities in Valencia. Through the Valencia factory, PV Hardware looks to adapt its products to the specific needs of every project.

Emilio García added, “PV Hardware’s strategy has always been to keep growing. At the moment we are the third largest supplier of solar trackers in the world, and our goal is to become the world’s number one. We have the conditions and experience to do so, and with this expansion we will reach the necessary capacity to achieve our goal”.

PV Hardware (PVH) is a provider of innovative solar tracking solutions for the global solar PV market, including solar trackers, fixed structures and SCADA systems. It has supplied over 25 GW to solar photovoltaic plants around the world. It is currently the world’s third largest supplier of solar trackers and structures.

PV Hardware has an operational factory in Saudi Arabia with a capacity of 8 GW that started last November. It will be building a new facility in Texas, USA, of 6 GW capacity that will commence production in June, 2023.
