India, France Jaws on Solar Energy Alliance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollanden are launching an International Solar Alliance, target to bring up clean and affordable solar energy within the reach of all. The launch of International Solar Alliance will coincide with the 12 days world leaders’ conference of climate changes in Paris, to seek new global deals on climate changes, by alternate arrangement from fossil fuels towards renewable energy.

A statement from the Indian Govt asserted that ’there were 120 plus rich countries in the earth that could be members of the International Solar Alliance to build up clean environment and affordable solar energy system. The solar energy is a practical and efficient way to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions and to control the climate changed.

India’s national plan on renewable energy target of 175 GW of additional capacity in renewable energy by 2022 and reduction in emission intensity of 33-35 percent by 2030 are just two of the steps of a comprehensive strategy, focuses on solar, saying it is expected to grow significantly.

Solar firms like Reliance, Tata Power of India have invested heavily in solar plant as a reliable source capable of providing power to some of India’s poorest people.
