AutoNxt Automation, which claims to be India’s first electric tractor, has recently boosted its Board and founding team with seasoned industry professionals. While Pankaj Goyal is now onboard as a Co-Founder and COO, I.V. Rao is the Board Director of AutoNxt Automation.

Pankaj Goyal joined the firm as the Co-Founder and COO since the company needed help transitioning from the R&D stage to the production stage and was searching for an experienced professional executive to join. In this regard, Pankaj Goyal’s employment by the company is advantageous to AutoNxt Automation and its youthful employees, the start-up has said.

Pankaj Goyal is an experienced leader who has held senior positions in large corporations throughout India and Europe. He also founded a school under the name Brainwaves International and is now focusing on his passion for automotive and EV technology with the potential for automation to leverage digital in agriculture applications.

After nearly ten years in leadership roles with Schneider Electric in the Nordic nations and France, he has managed 0.5 billion Euros of P&L for the company’s Nordic-Baltic Zone business and was a member of the top management team for Schneider Electric Greater India Zone, which had a turnover of over 10,000 Cr.

At TERI (The Energy Research Institute), I.V. Rao serves as a visiting Senior Fellow in the center for sustainable mobility group. With a total of 46 years of significant professional experience, Rao has over 36 years of expertise in the auto sector. He has had a successful 36-year career with Maruti Suzuki, during which he played a variety of responsibilities in the fields of technology transfer, new product planning and development, component localization, quality assurance & service, and manufacturing engineering. He was a key player in the establishment of India’s automotive rules because of his extensive experience in technological development and comprehension of the Indian context. Rao also held important positions in various company and governmental organisations, including membership in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’ Group of Experts for the development of future auto industry regulations. He also participated in all MORTH/MOEF discussions as the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) representative for the development of mass emission regulations and safety standards beginning in 1996, as well as the development of various safety standards and Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) related charges.
